Customer Service Skills Center helps area residents develop or polish their skills in dealing with customers and clients, especially in the retail sales, hospitality, food service, finance/banking/insurance, car-rental and airport-related industries. The 120-hour training program offers technical and life skills. Located at 779 Bergen Avenue.
Jersey City Construction Apprentice Program provides Jersey City residents with the academic studies and hands-on training needed in plumbing, heating/air conditioning, carpentry, and electrical work to satisfy the trade labor union requirements. New Jersey Small Business Development Center at New Jersey City University is part of a network dedicated to helping small businesses to expand operations, manage growth and/or launch new ventures. The organization provides training and consultation on finance, marketing and managing. Located at 285 West Side Avenue.
Rising Tide Capital is a non-profit community organization whose Community Business Academy supports traditionally underserved entrepreneurs (women, formerly incarcerated individuals, minorities, the unemployed and working poor, and immigrants and refugees) with business development services. www.risingtidecapital.org
Women Rising Community Partnerships in Hotel Employment is conducted in partnership with Hudson County Community College.
